1950:
Foundation and Family Legacy
1950: Company founded by Rudolf Weichert in Hamburg in cooperation with Pontetorto, Italy.
1980: Christian Weichert GmbH established in Munich.
1992:
Strategic Growth and Market Expansion
- Entered pure fashion textile business as a fabric agent, primarily with European manufacturers.
- Acquired Burlington (USA sales).
- Expanded sportswear sales with Burlington-USA (MCS) and Pontetorto (TECNOPILE).
1995:
Leadership Transition and Structural Development
1995: Marco Weichert (3rd generation) joined the agency.
2000: Established Design & Development GmbH; opened office in Ismaning.
2001:
Global Expansion and Innovation
2001: Began sales with Asian textile manufacturers, focusing on Taiwan and Korea.
2005: Established Ver-So (Vertical Solutions) network for European distribution.
2008: Founded the PERFORMANCE DAYS functional fabric fair.
2012: Clarissa Weichert (4th generation) joined after completing a B.A. in fashion and design management at AMD Munich.
2022: Founded Weichert Agencies US in New York to manage sales in the USA and Canada.
